Swim T (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “App”) is committed to protecting your privacy.
Our goal is simple: your swimming and health-related data stays under your control.
1. Overview
Swim T provides swimming performance analysis and visualizations based on data available on your iOS device (such as Apple Health / HealthKit data, where you grant permission).
We do not use health or fitness data for advertising, marketing, or data brokering.
Health and fitness data must only be used to provide health/fitness functionality.
2. Data We Access (On Your Device)
2.1 HealthKit / Apple Health
With your explicit permission, the App may access:
- Swimming workouts (e.g., distance, duration, splits/pace-related metrics)
- Height
- Gender / biological sex (as available through HealthKit)
Purpose: to generate swimming analytics (e.g., pace/split insights, performance trends, “Pace Horizon” style metrics).
2.2 Photos (Optional)
If you choose to set a profile avatar, the App may request access to your photo library only to select an image you choose.
2.3 Support Communications (Optional)
If you contact us by email, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message, solely to respond and provide support.
3. How We Use Data
We use the data described above to:
- Provide App features (analysis, visualization, personalization)
- Respond to support requests (if you email us)
4. Data Processing & Storage
4.1 Local Processing
HealthKit data is processed locally on your device for generating analytics.
4.2 No Upload of HealthKit Data
We do not upload your HealthKit data to our servers for storage or analytics, and we do not build user profiles from HealthKit data.
Note on “collect”: Apple defines “collect” as transmitting data off the device in a way that allows access beyond servicing a request in real time.
Swim T is designed so that your HealthKit data is not transmitted off-device for our access.
4.3 Retention & Deletion
- Your analytics data remains on your device.
- You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the App.
- You can revoke Health/Photos permissions anytime in iOS Settings.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
We do not share your health data with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or information resellers.
If we ever add third-party SDKs that receive data, we will update this policy and our App Store privacy disclosures accordingly. Apple requires that developers disclose data practices for integrated third-party code.
6. Subscriptions & Payments
Swim T may offer auto-renewable subscriptions via Apple In-App Purchase.
Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment details (such as card numbers). The App may access your subscription status from Apple to unlock Pro features.
7. Your Choices & Controls
You can:
- Grant or revoke Health/Photos permissions in iOS Settings
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- Contact us to ask questions about this policy
8. Children’s Privacy
Swim T is not intended for children under the minimum age required in your region to consent to data processing without parental permission. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us via support email, please contact us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
